| I am Jason Snow, your candidate for Division 2 for the Moreton Bay Regional Council. Division 2 area includes Burpengary, Burpengary East, Beachmere, North Harbour, and includes small areas of Narangba, Morayfield, Deception Bay, Caboolture and Ningi. My wife Debbie and I settled here after we married, and 20 years and four children later, we have never regretted that decision. I am passionate about this beautiful part of the world. I am proudly running for Council, to bring my visions and plans forward, to make it even better. I especially want to bring community trust back into a council that has become tarnished by the appearance of malpractice and misconduct in public office. I am passionate about preserving and protecting our koalas and other native animals, ensuring waterways are clean, removal of crime and financial efficiency over rate-payers resources. I will ensure roads, parks and waste disposal are properly maintained and ensure our refuse tips remain free to non-commercial users. I have over the years worked in various positions early in my early career, but 20 years ago decided to specialise in Disability Care, Aged Care and Mental Health Care. I have, in this career, assisted some of the most vulnerable people in our community live a fulfilling life. When elected to Council I will be proactively out in the community, with a focus on goals and objectives. I will bring back transparency in this council, ensuring that decisions that affect our community are decided with full community engagement. Council’s valued staff can look forward to me removing the fear based management style, and bullying behaviour that is currently present. But above all I will be working hard to; |
